My Story more...
To Mom's credit she signed me up for art lessons through the local art league, and I was off and running. I also had a great influence from my Grandma who taught crafts and china painting and my Grandpa, who had a workshop with lapidary equipment and tools. When I was twelve, he taught me how to cut a stone solder a bezel and set it into a ring that I still have. I was lucky to inherit some metal and stones from him that I sparingly use in my personal pieces.
I studied jewelry making, fabrication and lapidary in college and later through community art classes and professional workshops. After a 20 year break where I stretched my creative wings on glass blowing, sewing and beading, I have returned to metal jewelry. I hope you like what you see.
